Your account at your fingertips with online Home Banking. You can completely manage your account—24 hours a day—safely and securely. Get balance information, a history of your account, or transfer money. You can make a loan payment, get payoff information, request a loan advance or a check to be mailed right to your door. At any time you can review the interest you've paid and the dividends earned. And your monthly account statements can be sent to you electronically—just sign up for e-Statements. All you need is a personal computer with access to the Internet, your Credit Union account number, and your PIN number. Contact the Credit Union to sign up!

The first time you use Home Banking, your PIN is set to the last four digits of your social security number or, in the case of an organization, the last four digits of the tax identification number.  You will be prompted to change your PIN and to answer three security questions.

Deposits, Withdrawals, ATM Card

You can deposit money into your share account any time you wish. You can do this by mail or by visiting an Appalachian Federal office. When you need to make a withdrawal, you can come by and pick up a check or call one of our offices to have it mailed to you.

The Credit Union offers an ATM card, which can be used to get cash from ATMs or to make purchases at any participating merchant throughout the country. If you overdraw your account, a $5.00 overdraft fee will be charged to your account, per occurrence, if you do not have funds to cover the withdrawal from regular shares, money market shares, or overdraft protection.

Payroll Deduction

You can put money in your Appalachian Federal CU account through Payroll Deduction. You choose the exact amount to be transferred from your employer, and to which Credit Union accounts you want the money deposited. Payroll deduction can also be used to make monthly payments on credit union loans.

Direct Deposit

Wouldn't you like to get your paycheck before anyone else does? Are you tired of rushing to the bank with your paycheck in hand? Well you don't have to do that anymore. Get enrolled in the Direct Deposit program and take advantage of this time and money saving service. Direct deposits are processed the midnight before your payday, so you can get your money while you sleep. You can also sign up to have your social security or other government benenfit checks directly deposited electronically. Temporary Disability and Credit Life Insurance

Available at a low cost to borrowers, Disability insurance will make loan payments if you are off the job to to illness or injury. It takes effect after you have been off work for at least 30 days. Credit Life pays off all loans, up to $30,000, in the event a member dies or becomes permanently disabled.
